Chick-fil-A files permits for Atlantic North, Avenues restaurants

The chicken-sandwich chain is building and modifying locations.

Atlanta-based Chick-fil-A is taking steps for more development at its Jacksonville locations.

The city is reviewing a permit application for W.H. Bass Inc. of Duluth, Georgia, to clear a site for construction of a restaurant in the Atlantic North shopping center at a project cost of almost $2.2 million.

A 2,740-square-foot Chick-fil-A restaurant will be drive-thru-only on 1.03 acres at 11909 Atlantic Blvd.

The 2,740-square-foot restaurant will be drive-thru-only on 1.03 acres at 11909 Atlantic Blvd. at northwest Atlantic and Kernan boulevards in East Arlington.

Chick-fil-A also applied for a permit to make drive-thru modifications at its 9980 Southside Blvd. restaurant near The Avenues mall at a project cost of $575,000.

The project is for tree removal, a new driveway entrance, repaving and new curbing.

Chick-fil-A sells chicken sandwiches, tenders and salads.
