The president of a Jacksonville-based golf course ownership and management company has joined the JEA board of directors.
MG Orender of Hampton Golf will fill a vacancy left by the departure of Marty Lanahan, who had served on the JEA board since April 2020 and previously from 2001-05, according to a media release from JEA. The Jacksonville City Council approved Orender’s appointment June 11.
Hampton Golf owns or manages 32 golf courses in Florida, New York, Ohio, Minnesota and Tennessee, the release said.
Lanahan is a regional president and executive vice president of First Horizon Bank.
