Tara Beth Anderson named president at Baptist Medical Center Nassau

She has held leadership positions at several health care facilities in the South.

Baptist Health announced July 22 that Tara Beth Anderson is the new president at Baptist Medical Center Nassau.

Anderson leads a staff of 922 doctors and team members at the facility in Fernandina Beach.

She was chief nursing officer with clinical and operational oversight at HCA Florida Capital Hospital in Tallahassee.

“We are confident Tara Beth’s exceptional leadership, coupled with her commitment to excellence and engagement, will position Baptist Nassau to deliver even more value to the community,” said Matthew A. Zuino, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Baptist Health in a news release.

She has had leadership roles at HCA Frankfort Regional Medical Center in Kentucky, HCA Tulane Health System in Louisiana, LifePoint Healthcare Teche Regional Medical Center in Louisiana and Carteret Health Care in North Carolina.

“I was drawn to health care because of my passion for improving patient care and that is still what motivates me today,” Anderson said in the release.

She is pursuing a Doctorate in Executive Healthcare Leadership from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She received her Master of Science in Nursing and Post-RN Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Eastern Kentucky University.
