St. Johns Town Center is taking steps to demolish a building to make way for Pinstripes, a dining and entertainment venue combining bistro, bowling, bocce and private event space.

Pinstripes wants to build at the site of the closed West Elm furniture store building along Buckhead Branch Drive near Nordstrom.

On July 19, Jacksonville-based England-Thims & Miller Inc. submitted an application with the St. Johns Water Management District seeking a minor modification to the St. Johns Town Center property.

The application said the modification is for the demolition of an existing building and sidewalk to replace it with a new two-story building and sidewalk for SJTC Pinstripes.

In April, St. Johns Town Center owner Simon Property Group applied to the city for a permit to demolish the 12,787-square-foot West Elm building at 10274 Buckhead Branch Drive, No. 101, at a project cost of $394,500.

Pinstripes Holdings Inc. announced May 7 that it will open in 2025 at St. Johns Town Center.

Northbrook, Illinois-based Pinstripes said that with its 17 open locations, it has 23 locations open or under lease, with additional sites under consideration.

Pinstripes says it offers “a combination of made-from-scratch dining, bowling and bocce and flexible private event space.”

“From its full-service Italian-American food and beverage menu to its gaming array of bowling and bocce, Pinstripes offers multi-generational activities seven days a week.”

It says its 25,000- to 28,000-square-foot venues can accommodate groups of 20 to 1,500 for private events, parties and celebrations.
