Kicker’s, a country music-themed bar with a mechanical bull in the Pablo Station shopping center, is stepping forward.

The city issued a permit July 10 to build-out 7,044-square-feet space for the bar at a project cost of $450,000. The contractor is CE&M Contractors LLC.

The establishment is planned at 14333 Beach Blvd., No. 33. It is northwest of Beach Boulevard and San Pablo Road. The site was previously a LionShare Cowork facility. Big Lots anchors the center.

Plans show a 336-square-foot stage, a 1,340-square-foot dance floor and space for the mechanical bull and bleachers. There is no kitchen but there is a sandwich prep station.

The primary bar will be shaped like a cowboy boot and seat more than 50. There will be a second bar to serve customers inside and on the patio.

Design Cooperative of Jacksonville designed the interior.
