Apellix, a company that makes aerial robotics systems, announced July 3 it is expanding and relocating to Riverside.
The company’s drones are used for power washing, painting and ultrasonic testing.
The new headquarters at 2624 Phyllis St. is between King and Stockton streets south of Interstate 10. The company previously was on Emerson Street south of San Marco.
Property records show the headquarters is a 4,915-square-foot warehouse built in 1931. Apellix said it is expanding and adding jobs in customer support, engineering, sales and research and development.
It says the expanded production space “will enable Apellix to streamline manufacturing processes, improve efficiency, and increase output, ensuring timely delivery of products to clients.”
“This recent expansion sets the stage for Apellix to continue providing the industry with the safest, highest quality, and best performing power wash drones available,” Apellix founder and CEO Robert Dahlstrom said in a news release.
Apellix said it is investing in research and development to support ongoing projects, such as those with the U.S, Army, and develop new projects.
Founded in 2014, Apellix designs aerial robotic systems for residential, commercial and industrial applications.
