The 170-unit former Diamond Inn property in West Jacksonville sold June 28 for $11.83 million.

The 2.48-acre site at 5929 Ramona Blvd. is south of Interstate 10 and east of Lane Avenue.

The buyer was Newark, Delaware-based Batipart Immo US 4 Inc. Cedric Guilleminot is shown as the title president and director.

Batipart, headquartered in Luxembourg, is an investment group with a presence in Europe, Africa and North America. Its core businesses are real estate, tourism and hotels.

Guilleminot also is the CEO of ONOMO Hotels, which was created by Batipart. According to the Batipart website, ONOMO operates 22 hotels in 17 African cities.

The seller was Atlanta-based JDH Developers through The Lodge On Tara Blvd. LLC. JDH says it specializes in “acquiring and selling hotels both new and old.”

Action News Jax reported in March 2019 the Diamond Inn was shut down by the city fire marshal because of safety violations.

The Daily Record reported in 2019 the Diamond Inn ownership was part of a South Florida group including developer Shmuel Bonnardel, owner of the Bethelite property in Arlington.

The Lodge on Tara Blvd acquired the property in 2019 for $4.5 million.

The three-story, 52,516-square-foot hotel building sits on 2.48 acres. It was built in 1974.
