Chick-fil-A permit issued for Atlantic North drive-thru-only site

The Atlanta-based chicken tenders chain intends to build at northwest Atlantic and Kernan boulevards in East Arlington.

The city issued a construction permit for W.H. Bass Inc. of Duluth, Georgia, to build a drive-thru-only Chick-fil-A in the Atlantic North shopping center.

The 2,468-square-foot project is on 1.06 acres at 11909 Atlantic Blvd. at a project cost of $800,000.

The Atlantic North center is at northwest Atlantic and Kernan boulevards in East Arlington.

Mark S. Salopek LLC of Cleveland is the project architect. Bowman Consulting of Alpharetta, Georgia, is the civil engineer.

Atlanta-based Chick-fil-A sells chicken sandwiches, tenders and salads.

The city issued a site-clearing permit June 17 at a project cost of almost $2.2 million that references the new building along with paving, drainage and utilities.
