It was a clean sweep for the 4th Judicial Circuit at the annual Florida Court Clerks & Comptrollers summer conference June 19 in Orlando.
At the annual awards ceremony, the Duval County Clerk of Courts, Clay County Clerk of Court and Comptroller and the Office of the Nassau County Comptroller were among 47 of the 68 statewide members that received Best Practices Recognition of Excellence Awards in all 10 service categories: appeals, civil contraband forfeiture, court record retention and destruction, Department of Revenue parenting plan fee waivers, determination of indigency, marriage licenses, public records requests, risk protection orders, service of documents by clerks for pro se litigants and vexatious litigants.
Florida’s Clerks and Comptrollers have collaborated on Best Practices for nearly 20 years. The Best Practices Excellence Program was established in 2020 as an opportunity for clerks and comptrollers to receive certificates for completing assessments that evaluate acceptance of certain best practices.
Also, Clay County Clerk of Court and Comptroller Tara Green was elected the District III representative on FCCC’s board of directors.
Florida Court Clerks & Comptrollers is a statewide nonprofit member association comprising Florida’s clerks of the Circuit Court and comptrollers. It provides local government support services, technical assistance and accreditation opportunities for all members of the association.
