The Florida Board of Governors appointed John “Jack” Boyle to the University of North Florida Board of Trustees on June 28.

As president of buying and North America with Fanatics Commerce, Boyle oversees merchandising, including vendor relationships management, sports licensed business expansion, product strategy development and execution and continued growth of merchandise assortment.

“Jack is well established in the Jacksonville community with a strong track record in business and community service. He is a proven supporter of UNF and will help us as we ensure that we are the destination of choice for students, faculty and staff,” UNF President Moez Limayem said in a July 1 news release.

Boyle succeeds Annie Egan, pediatrician and partner with the Carithers Pediatric Group, a UNF trustee since 2018.

Boyle previously worked at Kohl’s, including as executive vice president and general merchandising manager of women’s and intimate apparel. Before that, he spent 10 years at Famous-Barr, a division of The May Department Stores Company.

His community service includes as a trustee on the JAX Chamber and the Episcopal School of Jacksonville. He is a member of the Jacksonville Civic Council and a former board member of the Florida Sports Hall of Fame.
