Dutch Bros Coffee has a seventh kiosk site in review for Northeast Florida.

City utility JEA is reviewing a service availability request for a 950-square-foot drive-thru coffee kiosk on a 0.52-acre parcel at 11647 San Jose Blvd. in Mandarin.

The site is at northeast San Jose Boulevard and Loretto Road, south of Interstate 295.

Pavilion Development Co. of Charlotte, North Carolina, is listed as the owner. Bowman Consulting Group is the civil engineer.

Dutch Bros sites usually have a double drive-thru and a walk-up service window, parking and a trash enclosure. There is no indoor or outdoor seating.

Six sites for Dutch Bros Coffee previously emerged in Northeast Florida as the Oregon-based chain of drive-thru shops expands through Texas into the Southeast.

Dutch Bros has listed job openings or has posted that it will open at 7720 Argyle Forest Blvd. in Southwest Jacksonville, 5733 Roosevelt Blvd. in the Venetia area of West Jacksonville, 10913 Baymeadows Road at the Point Meadows Shopping Center in South Jacksonville and 50 McCoy Way in Palencia in St. Augustine.

The chain also is exploring locations at Elevation Pointe and the Shops of Race Track Road in St. Johns County.

The food menu includes granola bars and muffin tops.

Dutch Bros Inc. is based in Grants Pass, Oregon. The name is pronounced “Bros” and not as “brothers.”

It has been expanding and as of March 31, 2024, had 876 locations in 17 states.

It opened 45 shops in 14 states during the first quarter, with 40 of those locations company-operated.

Dutch Bros expects to open at least 150 to 165 new shops in 2024.

CEO Christine Barone has said the company is designing its executive leadership team to scale and grow to 4,000 shops.

Brothers Dane and Travis Boersma founded Dutch Bros in 1992. Dutch Bros Inc. was formed June 4, 2021, to become a public company. It is traded on the New York Stock Exchange.

Barone has said that when Dutch Bros enters new markets, it plans to use a strategy to penetrate markets more completely, build up brand recognition and boost revenue with effects likely to be seen by 2025.
