The city issued a permit Jan. 26 for Insomnia Cookies to build-out space in the Five Points neighborhood near Riverside and Brooklyn.
The company known for serving and delivering cookies until the early morning hours is leasing a 1,174-square-foot space at 815 Lomax St., near Park Street.
Milborne LLC of Sunny Isles Beach is the contractor for the $245,524 project to build-out the space. ArcVision of St. Louis, Missouri is the architect.
A Colliers real estate brochure shows Insomnia Cookies as a tenant next to APB Sneakers in a four-unit building at 813-819 Lomax St.
It would be the third Insomnia Cookies location in Jacksonville. The first is in Tinseltown Plaza at 4549 Southside Blvd. and the second opened in July 2023 at 47 W. Adams St. in the Elks Building Downtown at Adams and Laura streets.
The Philadelphia-based company said in July 2023 that the Downtown store was its 10th in Florida and its 244th nationwide.
Insomnia Cookies selections include its Classic Chocolate Chunk, Snickerdoodle and Confetti Deluxe cookies. There are brownies, ice cream, cookie cakes, 12-packs, vegan options and a rotating limited-edition menu.
Insomniacookies.com says the Five Points, Lomax store is coming soon.
Hours are posted as noon-1 a.m. Sunday; 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Monday-Wednesday; 11 a.m. to 3 a.m. Thursday and Friday; and noon to 3 a.m. Saturday.
Delivery hours start 15 minutes after opening and stop at closing time.
