HomeGoods announced Jan. 11 it will open Jan. 25 in River City Marketplace in North Jacksonville.
The off-price home décor store will open at 13221 City Station Drive, Suite 125.
The grand opening is scheduled 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on opening day.
The retailer said it will present a $10,000 donation to Family Promise of Jacksonville. Family Promise provides case management for families with children experiencing homelessness by working with congregations and other social service agencies.
HomeGoods said that Family Promise has an 82% success rate of moving from homelessness to stability.
The 26,114-square-foot store will then operate 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, although those hours may shift.
HomeGoods said it expects to fill about 65 full- and part-time positions.
Merchandise departments include furniture, rugs, lighting, decorative accessories, kitchen and dining, bedding, bath, pet accessories, storage, workspace, outdoor, gourmet, wellness and more.
The retailer says it provides a changing selection of merchandise at prices generally 20%-60% below full-price retailers regular prices on comparable merchandise. Those include department, specialty and major online retailers, HomeGoods says.
HomeGoods operates more than 907 stores across the country and is a division of The TJX Companies, Inc., an off-price retailer of apparel and home fashions in the U.S. and worldwide.
As of July 29, 2023, Framingham, Massachusetts-based TJX operated 4,884 stores in nine countries, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Poland, Austria, the Netherlands and Australia, and seven e-commerce sites.
