Daytime cafe Toasted Yolk is expanding in Northeast Florida.
It is a signed tenant in the second phase of mixed-use development The Fountains at St. Johns at northeast County Road 210 West about a mile east of Interstate 95 in northern St. Johns County.
The Texas-based cafe was confirmed during a groundbreaking for Fountains East on Dec. 6 by Jacksonville-based Cross Regions Group, The Fountains developer.
It is its second Northeast Florida Toasted Yolk. The first opened in Fleming Island on Nov. 18 at 1615 County Road 220, Unit 180.
There are 42 U.S. Toasted Yolk locations open or coming soon, including five in Florida, that serve breakfast and lunch from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Breakfast items include brisket tacos with scrambled eggs, breakfast burritos and buttermilk pancakes. Lunch options include hamburgers, a California Club sandwich and soups and salads.
The restaurants offer after-hours events that include an optional full bar. Prices start at $25 per person and top out at $45 per person.
CEOs Chris Milton and Mathew DeMott founded Toasted Yolk and are seeking franchisees. The investment to qualify as a potential franchisee is $939,900 to $1.4 million.
Other signed tenants at Fountains East include restaurants Island Wing Company and DaVinci’s Pizza, Wicked Cookies and St. Johns Aesthetics and Wellness Center.
A 137-room Home2 Suites by Hilton will be east of the retail tenants.
Ascension St. Vincent’s Emergency Care - St. Johns County anchors phase one, which includes Culver’s, Grumpy’s, Endeavor Health Center and Lil Voyagers Academy daycare.
