PGA Tour sells buildings, land to its for-profit division for a total of $94.07 million

The tour offices, parking lots and vacant land are in Ponte Vedra Beach.

In two transactions Dec. 19, PGA Tour Inc. sold office buildings and land in Ponte Vedra Beach for a total of $94.07 million.

PGA Tour Enterprises Holding Co. LLC bought the properties through PGA Tour Enterprises LLC.

The sale includes the former PGA Tour headquarters at 1 PGA Tour Blvd. next to TPC Sawgrass, where The Players Championship is annually contested. 

The PGA Tour moved into a $75 million headquarters at 5420 Palm Valley Road in early 2021. It includes a 65,000-square-foot production facility next to the headquarters. The production facility had been at the World Golf Village in St. Augustine.

PGA Tour Enterprises handles commercial businesses for the PGA Tour and the DP World Tour, based in Surrey, England.

PGA Tour Enterprises is a for-profit venture partnered with Strategic Sports Group, led by Fenway Sports Group of Boston.

The Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia, which created and funds LIV Golf, has been in negotiations to buy a 6% share of PGA Tour Enterprises.

PGA Tour Enterprises is valued at about $12 billion, according to Bloomberg.

The six parcels comprising 198.24 acres sold for $89.48 million.

This transaction includes office properties at 1 PGA Tour Blvd., 7 PGA Tour Blvd., 155 PGA Tour Blvd., 185 PGA Tour Blvd., 5140 Palm Valley Road and 5280 Palm Valley Road and parking lots at 267 ATP Blvd., 281 ATP Blvd., 100 TPC Blvd. and 112 TPC Blvd.

The purchase includes 3 acres of vacant land along Solana Road.

In a separate sale Dec. 19, PGA Tour Inc., through PGA Tour Enterprises LLC, sold about 21.52 acres to PGA Tour Enterprises Holding Co. LLC  for $4.59 million.

The property at 566 Dyes Valley Road comprises an office building and two storage buildings.
