The Jacksonville Jaguars maintained their ranking as the 43rd most valuable sports franchise in the world, as the team’s value rose 15% since 2023 to $4.6 billion, Forbes magazine reported Dec. 12.

The ranking reflects the power of the NFL, with 29 of the league’s 32 teams listed in the magazine’s annual list of top 50 global franchises.

The Dallas Cowboys are the most valuable franchise at $10.1 billion, $1.3 billion higher than the second-ranked Golden State Warriors.

The Warriors are one of 12 NBA teams on the list. Major League Baseball has three and the remainder are European soccer teams.

Besides owning the Jaguars, Shad Khan also owns British Premier League’s Fulham FC, but his soccer team is not one of the most valuable in that league.

Forbes said European soccer teams are extremely popular but national television deals fuel bigger valuations for U.S. sports, particularly in the NFL. But NBA television deals have also grown.

Forbes estimates 75% of the Jaguars’ valuation comes from shared revenue among NFL teams, mainly television deals.
