Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant will open its second Jacksonville location Dec. 9 at 10601 San Jose Blvd. in the Mandarin Landing shopping center.

Mandarin Landing is anchored by Whole Foods Market.

The first Jacksonville Cooper’s Hawk, at 4850 Big Island Drive in St. Johns Town Center, opened in October 2015.

The company, founded by CEO Tim McEnery in 2005, is headquartered in Downers Grove, Illinois, according to a Dec. 5 news release announcing the opening.

Cooper’s Hawk combines a restaurant, artisan market and Napa-style tasting room.

The restaurant has about 50 Cooper’s Hawk wines on the menu. There is no Cooper’s Hawk vineyard. Instead, it imports grapes from California, Oregon, Argentina, Australia, Chile and Italy.

There are more than 55 Cooper’s Hawk restaurants in the U.S. in 11 states and 14 in Florida. It has more than 360,000 members in its wine club.

Cooper’s Hawk offers lunch, brunch, happy hour and dinner options. It has gluten-free and kid's menus and offers carryout and catering.

The menu includes appetizers, soups and salads, pasta, steaks and chops, seafood, chicken and desserts. Menu items come with wine- pairing suggestions.

The new restaurant can accommodate 300 people inside and another 40 on its covered patio. The private dining space can seat 48.

Haley Construction Inc. of Daytona Beach built the 10,725-square-foot, free-standing building at a project cost of $4.5 million.
