Sprouts Farmers Market announced Dec. 2 it will open its first St. Johns County store in the Shoppes of St. Johns Parkway on Jan. 31.
The 23,975-square-foot store is at 120 Shops Blvd. near County Road 210.
Sprouts, an organic and natural grocer, replaces Earth Fare, a similar grocery concept that closed in 2022. Other tenants at the Shoppes include restaurants Canopy Road Cafe, Xtreme Wings, Ember & Iron and Hot Spot Power Yoga.
It will be the third Sprouts in Northeast Florida and the 48th in the state. Sprouts has two stores in Jacksonville, at 4873 Town Center Parkway in The Markets at Town Center and at 12675 Beach Blvd., Suite 200, in Tamaya.
Sprouts said the store will employ 83 full- and part-time workers.
Jobs include department managers, assistant department managers, clerks (produce; vitamins and body care; meat and seafood; deli; grocery; bakery; and more), cashiers and courtesy clerks.

The company is holding a virtual hiring event for management and specialty roles for the St. Johns store Dec. 4.
In-person team hiring events are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 11 and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 12. Both at the Holiday Inn St. Augustine World Golf Village at 475 Commerce Lake Drive.

Headquartered in Phoenix, Sprouts has more than 420 stores in 24 states. It bills itself as the “healthy grocer” offering organic, plant-based and gluten-free products.
Grocery industry publication Progressive Grocer named Sprouts the 2024 Retailer of the Year.
St. Johns County issued a building permit in July for Sprouts at a project cost of $1.1 million.
