Mari Kuraishi, president of the Jessie Ball duPont Fund, is the keynote speaker at the Jacksonville Federal Court Bar Association’s 18th annual Honorable Harvey E. Schlesinger Spirit of Giving Luncheon and Awards.
The event is noon to 1:30 p.m. Dec. 12 at The River Club Downtown.
Kuraishi leads the duPont Fund’s efforts to create communities of belonging by fostering inclusive growth and reducing structural and systemic barriers to resources and opportunities.
In 2011, she was named one of Foreign Policy’s 100 Top Global Thinkers for “crowdsourcing and world-saving” and currently serves on the boards of GlobalGiving, Mission Investors Exchange, DataKind, the JAX Chamber, the Jacksonville Community Land Trust and the Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens.
In addition to the remarks from Kuraishi, the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida, will present “Spirit of Giving” awards to civil practice and criminal practice lawyers who have gone above and beyond in providing service to those in need.
The luncheon is free for members and $30 for nonmembers. Register at jaxfedbar.org or by emailing Maria Daniels at [email protected].
