St. Johns Town Center, the shopping heart of Northeast Florida, continues to evolve  Here’s a look at what’s ahead:

Mayors Jewelers is creating a new space at 4834 River City Drive, No. 119.

Mayors

Mayors Jewelers continues to operate in a temporary location while it renovates at 4834 River City Drive, No. 119.

It temporarily is at 4813 River City Drive, No. 137, the 2,467-square-foot former Acumen space between Gucci and Madewell. 

Mayors will return to its original location on the south side of Tiffany.

Dave’s Hot Chicken

Pasadena, California-based Dave’s Hot Chicken intends to open its first Jacksonville location at 10261 River Marsh Drive, No. 137, which is at a corner next to PetSmart and Firehouse Subs.

T-Mobile previously occupied the space. T-Mobile now operates along Town Center Parkway.

Crocs is in the works at 4611 River City Drive, Suite C01. It’s the former Uniformi-T space.

Crocs is stepping into St. Johns Town Center with a store near Target. 

The city is reviewing a building-permit application for the retailer at 4611 River City Drive, Suite C01. It’s the former Uniformi-T space.

Oakley is moving to 4751 River City Drive, Unit 119.

Oakley

Sunglasses retailer Oakley is moving to 4751 River City Drive, Unit 119, after leaving the space now held by Breitling watches.

The construction walls are up for the storefront between Chico’s and Lucky Brand Jeans. Francesca’s was previously in the space.

Omega is planned at 4835 River City Drive, No. 105.

The construction walls are up for watchmaker Omega at 4835 River City Drive, No. 105, the former Tesla space next to Apple.

The sign says the store will open in 2025.

Talbots at 4812 River City Drive, Unit 119, could be divided in two to make room for Marc Jacobs.

Marc Jacobs

Fashion designer Marc Jacobs plans a space next to the Talbots women’s clothing store. The city is reviewing a permit to split the 6,269-square-foot Talbots space into at least two spaces.

A Talbots associate was unaware of the plans Nov. 7 and said the store was not moving, so it appears that Marc Jacobs could be taking the other part of the split space. Talbots is at 4812 River City Drive, Unit 119.

Pinstripes

Pinstripes Holdings Inc. plans to open the experiential dining and entertainment brand combining bistro, bowling, bocce and private event space in 2025.

The construction barrier is up at the site where the West Elm furniture store building was demolished along Buckhead Branch Drive near Nordstrom.

Puttshack

The proposed Puttshack indoor mini-golf is shown on a Jacksonville Planning and Development Department plan across Buckhead Branch Drive from Pinstripes.

Chicago-based Puttshack has 22 locations in 15 states, of which eight locations are opening soon. It has not announced the Jacksonville location.

A Gorjana women’s jewelry store intends to open a storefront between the Chico’s clothing retailer and the Vow’d wedding and bridesmaid dress location at 4712 River City Drive.

Gorjana appears to be taking the space at or near the closed Everything But Water shop. There are no construction walls up for the store.

Aroma360 is planned at 4818 River City Drive, Unit 101.

Aroma360, which provides scenting services for homes, businesses and cars, is planned at 4818 River City Drive, Unit 101.

“Coming soon” signs are up for the store in the Nordstrom courtyard across from the Nordstrom Ebar coffee shop.

Rowan could be taking the 4663 River City Drive, space D-11, now Banter by Piercing Pagoda.

Rowan

Ear-piercing retailer Rowan is exploring a site at 4663 River City Drive, space D-11, across from Maggiano’s Little Italy restaurant. 

The site appears to be the current location of Banter by Piercing Pagoda, next to Kay Jewelers. An associate at Banter said a remodel was expected but was unsure about any connection with Rowan.

Komma Tea & Natural Homemade Desserts plans a space at 10281 Midtown Parkway between Fresh-Mex & Co. and P.F. Chang’s.

The “coming soon” sign is up on the storefront. Komma Tea’s menu includes milk teas, refreshers and freshly baked macarons in 12 flavors. The macarons are also called “Kommacaron.”

Louis Vuitton is expanding at 4834 River City Drive, Unit 101.

Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton, a luxury retailer of clothing, shoes, handbags and accessories, is renovating and expanding its store at 4834 River City Drive, Unit 101.

The construction walls are still up for the retailer, which took the Lovesac space in the Nordstrom alley. Lovesac is open in a new home across the alley.

Maggiano’s Little Italy

Maggiano’s Little Italy is remodeling its front dining and bar patios.

It is building new covered patio slabs, structure, lighting, heaters, fans and finishes. Maggiano’s specializes in Italian-American cuisine of pasta, salads, steaks, seafood, chef specials and desserts.

Almost 20 years after it opened, St. Johns Town Center is replacing four main entry signs that have greeted visitors since the project launched its first phase of shopping in 2005.

Dowling Signs of North Central Florida, based in High Springs, is the contractor for the project. The four signs total a project cost of $402,880.

Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar

Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar at 10209 River Coast Drive at Town Center opened in November. It is the former Ida Claire restaurant and owned by the same company, FB Society.

A Whiskey Cake is a signature dessert of sticky toffee cake drizzled with caramel sauce topped with spiced pecans and a vanilla whipped cream.

5th Element Indian Restaurant & Bar

The 5th Element Indian Restaurant & Bar opened in April at 10208 Buckhead Branch Drive in the former Kamiya 86 space near Ethan Allen and west of the St. Johns Town Center Nordstrom.

Cigars International is at 4808 Town Center Parkway behind the Firebirds Wood Fired Grill restaurant in in The Strand at Town Center.

Cigars International is open at 4808 Town Center Parkway behind the Firebirds Wood Fired Grill in The Strand at Town Center. The shop has a lounge and  offers 1,300 cigar brands.

Petfolk is planned at 4852 Town Center Parkway in The Strand at St. Johns Town Center.

Petfolk

The Petfolk veterinary care service is cleared to build-out space at 4852 Town Center Parkway in The Strand at St. Johns Town Center.

The space is in the building occupied by Mission BBQ and Domu. Petfolk.com shows the location will open in winter 2024.

Visual Comfort & Co. and Belamo are planned for this site, the future Town Center II at 4907 Big Island Drive.

Visual Comfort & Co. and Belamo

Ashco Inc. says Visual Comfort & Co. and Belamo have signed leases at Town Center II at 4907 Big Island Drive.

Ashco said in 2023 that it intended to demolish the closed Wendy’s it bought there to develop a 16,000-square-foot building. In November, the Wendy’s building was removed and the lot was fenced off. 

Costco Wholesale Corp. plans a gas station in the parking lot oft its Town Center warehouse club.

Costco Wholesale

Costco Wholesale Corp. proposes to add a members-only gas station on the parking lot at its Town Center warehouse club.

Costco wants to add 12 fuel pumps with 24 fueling stations, a fuel kiosk enclosure, curbing and landscape islands. 

The company applied April 18 to the St. Johns River Water Management District for a minor permit modification to allow the gas station at its site at 4901 Gate Parkway.
