ArchWell Health is starting work toward opening in West Side Plaza in West Jacksonville now that the city issued a permit Aug. 28 for the clinic to build-out at a project cost of $3.025 million.
Hoar Construction LLC of Orlando is the contractor and Earl Swensson Associates Inc. of Nashville, Tennessee, is the architect.
ArchWell Health is building-out 8,740 square feet of space at 5930-34 Normandy Blvd. in the shopping center at southeast Normandy Boulevard and Lane Avenue.
The Nashville-based medical system focuses on senior care.
ArchWell has indicated interest in at least three other Jacksonville locations.
• In Southwest Jacksonville, the city is reviewing building plans for ArchWell Health to build-out a 6,873-square-foot space at 7628 103rd St. in Oak Hill Village at an estimated project cost of $2 million. The site is at southwest 103rd Street and Ricker Road.
• In Arlington, the city has been reviewing a permit for a clinic in Arlington at a build-out cost estimated at $2 million. ArchWell Health is looking at 8,520 square feet of space at 1072 Arlington Road N. The location is north of Arlington Expressway.
• In Gateway Town Center in Brentwood, the city is reviewing a permit application for ArchWell Health to lease more than 13,500 square feet of space at 5000 Norwood Ave., Suites 4-5. ArchWell will build-out 11,795 square feet of space at an estimated $2 million and the rest will be for future use.
The West Side Plaza and Arlington properties are owned by Cardinal Management of Mattituck, New York.

ArchWell Health shows on its ArchWellHealth.com site that it has 51 locations in nine states, including 10 clinics in Florida along the state’s Gulf Coast.

ArchWell Health serves members over the age of 60 and Medicare Advantage patients.
It partners with Medicare Advantage plans that include Aetna, Anthem, Cigna Healthcare, Devoted Health Plans, Humana and United Healthcare.
