Sunglasses retailer Oakley is moving within St. Johns Town Center as Breitling watches prepares to lease its existing space.
The city is reviewing a permit application for Oakley to build-out in 1,009 square feet of space at 4751 River City Drive, Unit 119, at an estimated project cost of $250,000.
Cortland Morgan Architect of Pittsburgh is the architect.
The storefront is between Chico’s and Lucky Brand Jeans in the strip of stores anchored on one end by Warby Parker and the other by Altar’d State. It is near Maggiano’s Little Italy.
Francesca’s previously leased the space. The women’s clothing store closed in May.
It is one of 20 Oakley stores in Florida and the only one in Jacksonville. There are 172 in 39 states.
The city is reviewing permit plans for Breitling 1884 as a tenant at 4751 River City Drive, Space 143-A, an end space next to Levi’s and across a side street from Urban Outfitters.
No contractor is listed for the 1,253-square-foot build-out. Sargenti Architects of Paramus, New Jersey, is the architect.
The permit says the project is tenant improvement to an existing retail storefront modification.

Founded in 1884, the Breitling watchmaker is based in Geneva, Switzerland.
