A proposed Baymeadows Road Dutch Bros Coffee is cleared for construction.
The city issued permits Aug. 13 for Tatco Construction of Edmond, Oklahoma, to build a 950-square-foot shop and a trash enclosure for the project at 10915 Baymeadows Road at a project cost of $560,000.
The shop will offer a drive-thru window with two drive aisles and a walk-up window, with a small parking area.
There is no seating.
The 0.8-acre site is in the Point Meadows shopping center at northwest Baymeadows Road and Interstate 295 in South Jacksonville.
It is one of seven identified Northeast Florida sites for Dutch Bros.
Dutch Bros Coffee opened its first Northeast Florida store Aug. 9 at 50 McCoy Way in St. Augustine near The Shoppes at Palencia Commons.
Two more are expected to open soon in September at 5733 Roosevelt Blvd. in West Jacksonville and in early November at 7720 Argyle Forest Blvd. in Southwest Jacksonville.
Dutch Bros offers coffee, drinks and a limited menu of pastries with no on-site cooking. It offers cold brew, chai, hot coffee, energy drinks, teas, lemonades, smoothies and its signature Dutch sodas. The food menu includes granola bars and muffin tops.
Dutch Bros is headquartered in Grants Pass, Oregon. Brothers Dane and Travis Boersma founded Dutch Bros. Dutch Bros Inc. was formed June 4, 2021, to become a public company. It is traded on the New York Stock Exchange.
It has been expanding across the country.
