PickleRage, an indoor pickleball club franchise, is coming to South Jacksonville.
The city issued a permit July 11 for Urban Partners Construction LLC to build-out a 30,825-square-foot facility at 10320 Shops Lane, No. 200, at a job cost of $1.12 million.
The facility will open in the fall at the Avenues Walk shopping center, according to picklerage.com.
It is between Chuck E. Cheese and Dollar Tree.
The club will have nine courts, retail space, a changing area, party room and a lounge.

PickleRage began in 2023 and is headquartered in Red Bank, New Jersey. It has more than 30 facilities around the country. It franchises its locations and offers training and operation assistance to franchisees.
It has a company goal of 500 locations within the next five years, according to an Aug. 1 news release.
The facility allows for open play and memberships. It offers league and team play.
Memberships cost $60 per month with a one-time $20 initiation fee. Members pay $7 per player; nonmembers pay $14 for open play. Members pay $15 per player for single play and $7.50 each for doubles; nonmembers pay $30 for singles and $15 for doubles.
Members receive preferred scheduling, discounted league fees and pro shop savings.
The courts are temperature-controlled. The playing surface is cushioned to lessen stress on hips, knees and feet.
Some locations serve beer, wine and snack food.
