NAIOP of Northeast Florida Chapter President Christian Oldenburg has joined Jacksonville-based Ash Properties as chief operating officer.
Oldenburg succeeds previous COO Randall Whitfield, who now is president of Ash Properties.
Oldenburg has been executive managing director and market leader of Colliers International in Jacksonville for seven years.
He posted April 30 on LinkedIn that he was starting the new position.
Oldenburg did not respond to a call for comment.
The NAIOP presidency is a volunteer leadership role with the commercial development real estate development association and does not appear to be affected by the new position.
Colliers is searching for a new Jacksonville market leader. As it does, Bryan Johnson will serve in an interim role.
Johnson is North Carolina market leader and executive managing director, based in Charlotte.
He emailed a statement from Colliers:
“Christian Oldenburg has made the decision to depart Colliers for a position outside of commercial real estate services. Colliers has begun the recruitment process to fill the Jacksonville Brokerage Market Leader vacancy left by Christian’s departure,” it says.
“In the interim, Bryan Johnson, Colliers’ North Carolina Market Leader will oversee operations in Jacksonville, FL., reporting to Stephanie Rodriguez, National Director, Industrial Services and Executive Managing Director, Florida. We thank Christian for his many years of service and wish him much success as he embarks on his next endeavor.”
Oldenburg joined Colliers in August 2017, according to his LinkedIn profile.
That profile shows he began his Jacksonville career in 2004 as a financial analyst with NorthMarq, then moved to Jacksonville-based Regency Centers Corp. from 2005 to 2015, leaving as vice president in national property operations.
He joined Colliers after about two years as senior vice president of Block One Ventures.
AshProperties.com says the company is locally owned and operated with more than 40 years of experience and more than 12 million square feet of commercial real estate throughout Northeast Florida.
It specializes in the leasing, management and development of commercial properties.
Colliers posted a job opening April 25 for the Jacksonville managing director and market leader.
“As Market Leader, you will be responsible for the leadership and growth of the broader Jacksonville market and shall oversee all aspects of Brokerage services,” it says.
“In this role you will drive new business and the growth of market share in the region. You will need to be market and client facing, which includes participating in industry and local community groups/events and establishing and fostering client relationships.”
