Flame Broiler is opening its first double drive-thru restaurant April 19 at 6682 103rd St.
The Korean rice bowl concept is in the former Ying’s Takee Outee space east of Interstate 295 south of the Walmart Supercenter
The ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 4 p.m. Free mini bowls will be given to those attending the opening.
It is the fifth Jacksonville Flame Broiler location owned by franchisee Jackie Grzebin.
The rice bowls are made with non-GMO white or brown rice, charbroiled beef, chicken or tofu. The dishes include blanched vegetables with a choice of mild or jalapeño hot sauce.
“It’s been one of our aspirations to introduce our very first double drive-thru location,” said Young Lee, CEO and founder of Flame Broiler, in an April 15 news release.
“Knowing the importance of healthy eating habits, we continue to work towards fulfilling our promise of bringing nutritious bowls to people at a convenience.”
The company was started in 1995 in Orange County, California, as a healthy fast-food option. There are more than 180 stores in Florida, California, Arizona, Oklahoma, North Carolina and Nevada, according to its website.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
