Two retailers whose exclusive Jacksonville locations opened at Johns Town Center are renovating and expanding.
Mayors Jewelers and Louis Vuitton operate at the southern end of the center, which was the second phase of the Southside center that added luxury brands like Tiffany & Co. and Coach.
The city is reviewing building permits for Mayors and Louis Vuitton.
Both opened in 2007 at northwest Butler Boulevard and Interstate 295.
Enovative Technologies Inc. of Jacksonville is the agent for both projects, which flank Tiffany.

Sentinel General Contractors Inc. of Pembroke Pines is the contractor to build-out the 4,076-square-foot Mayors Jewelers of Florida LLC storefront at 4834 River City Drive, Unit 119, at a project cost of $1.5 million.
It follows a permit issued Sept. 21 for Sentinel to start limited demolition at a cost of $650,000.
Mayors Jewelers moved to a temporary location at 4813 River City Drive, No. 137, the 2,467-square-foot former Acumen space.
Mayors Jewelers will return to its original location adjacent to the south side of Tiffany.
Mayors Jewelers of Florida LLC of Fort Lauderdale is the owner. Michael Neumann of New York City is the architect.
A sign on the door says: “We are open during our renovation. Please visit us at our temporary location across the street.”
The renovations are expected to be completed in the fall.
“Our Mayors showroom at St. Johns Town Center is currently undergoing a complete renovation, due to reopen for debut in Fall of 2024,” said Melissa Fichman, director of marketing with The Watches of Switzerland Group USA Inc. in Fort Lauderdale, in a previous statement.
Louis Vuitton
Louis Vuitton is renovating and expanding in two phases at its existing store at 4834 River City Drive, Unit 101, adding space behind the store and a staff lounge nearby.
The luxury retailer of clothing, shoes, handbags and accessories is building-out in 6,100 square feet of space.
It is adjacent to the north side of Tiffany.
Louis Vuitton USA Inc. of New York City is the business owner. Atmosphere Design & Architecture PLLC of Valhalla, New York, is the architect.
The Lovesac beanbag and sofa maker moved across the Nordstrom plaza to make space for the Louis Vuitton expansion.
