Five Below opening Nov. 3 in Southside Commons

The teen merchandiser will open its ninth area store in the Regency area as a 10th is under development in Gateway Town Center.

Teen merchandiser Five Below posted on its website that it will open at 10 a.m. Nov. 3 in the Southside Commons shopping center.

The store is building-out at 660 Commerce Center Drive, Suite 600, in the Regency area north of Regency Square Mall.

Southside Commons, owned by Sleiman Enterprises, is at southeast Southside Connector and Tredinick Parkway.

The store is next to Ross Dress For Less, which is adjacent to the Michaels arts and crafts store.

Philadelphia-based Five Below has eight stores in Northeast Florida. Southside Commons will be its ninth and another in Gateway Town Center will be its 10th.

The city issued a permit July 6 for Management Resource System Inc. of High Point, North Carolina, to build-out space in the Southside Commons for Five Below.

The contractor renovated 14,972 square feet at a project cost of $500,000. 

The city issued a permit Aug. 9 for Williams & Rowe Co. Inc. to renovate retail space for Five Below at Gateway Town Center in the Brentwood area at a job cost of $963,482.

The project is the improvement of 9,321 square feet at 5258 Norwood Ave. 

Five Below Inc., based in Philadelphia, calls itself “the trend-right, high-quality, extreme-value retailer for tweens, teens and beyond.”

It sells merchandise at “$1 to $5 & beyond.”
