The Etienne brothers, star running backs for the Jacksonville Jaguars and Florida Gators, have landed another sponsorship deal, this time with Chipotle.
It’s the first national partnership deal for the brothers, according to an Oct. 10 news release from the fast-casual chain that specializes in bowls, tacos and burritos.
In August, Travis Etienne Jr. and Trevor Etienne announced a deal with Ellianos Coffee, which operates drive-thru kiosks in Alabama, Georgia and Florida.
Publicly-held Chipotle says it has more than 3,250 restaurants in the U.S, Canada, the United Kingdom, France and Germany. It owns and operates all its restaurants in North America and Europe.
A YouTube Shorts ad called “Bro” features the brothers working out together, then ordering at Chipotle.
“Growing up, we always pushed each other to run faster, train harder, and part of that was ensuring we were eating the right foods to win,” Trevor Etienne said in a news release.
“As Trevor’s big bro, I take pride in setting the pace, but his work ethic has pushed me to be better too,” Travis Etienne said. “We both love Chipotle and are always grabbing our go-to bowls after training sessions.”
Chipotle said the brothers will be showcased in its upcoming marketing campaign across digital properties.
Travis Etienne Jr. played college football at Clemson and was selected by the Jaguars in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He scored two touchdowns Oct. 8 to lead the team past the Buffalo Bills in London.
Trevor Etienne rushed for 719 yards and six touchdowns at Florida last season and was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team.
This season, he has 60 carries for 358 yards and two touchdowns and 11 receptions for 84 yards.
This is the second recent Northeast Florida connection to a national Chipotle advertising campaign.
The company said in September that its “Behind the Foil,” TV ad campaign, which features behind-the-scenes footage of its kitchens and prep routines, includes Jacksonville resident Skye Meyer as one of its team members.
