Cross Regions Group has a large retail and health project at The Fountains at St. Johns in St. Johns County.
It is on nearly 100 acres at northeast County Road 210 West and Interstate 95.
The corridor will see 5,000 new homes constructed in coming years, according to a release from Cross Regions.
The Fountains already has several medical facilities, including Endeavor Health and Bartram Dental Center.
Ascension St. Vincent’s St. Johns County Hospital opened a 150,000-square-foot hospital and 82,500-square-foot medical office building on 33 acres in 2022. The current hospital building can be expanded and Ascension St. Vincent’s has an additional 5.59 acres for new construction.
Plans for new health services include Florida Eye Specialists, which is under construction; H2 Health, which offers physical therapy; and a nursing training facility for Jacksonville University.
Additional plans call for an assisted living facility and wellness center.
