Treylor Park restaurant plans to open in St. Augustine at the end of May.
It is at 61 Spanish St., between Calle Sita and Hypolita Street in downtown St. Augustine.
It is the chain’s fifth open location in Southeast Georgia and Northeast Florida.
“Where St. Augustine is right now, you can feel this new energy coming in with the culinary and hospitality industry,” said co-owner Rick Kunzi in a news release.
“There’s a lot of great, new businesses opening, very similar to the scene in Savannah nine years ago when we opened the first Treylor Park.”
Kunzi owns the restaurants with Trey Wilder.
Treylor Park plays off new spins on Southern favorites like Fried Chicken and Apple Pie Sandwiches, PB&J chicken wings and Ribs & Mac.
“Take our PB&J chicken wings. The initial thought makes people go cross-eyed until they find out we use an Asian peanut flavor, paired with our homemade peach jam as a dipping sauce. They’re not your mom’s PB&J with the crust cut off. They’ve got their own intellectual flavors,” Kunzi said.
The restaurant’s interior will be designed to resemble an upscale, double-wide Airstream trailer with a curved metal ceiling. The restaurant will also offer outdoor dining on a large patio.
The first Florida Treylor Park is in Nocatee at 158 Marketside Ave., Ponte Vedra Beach. It has three locations in Savannah, Georgia, with a fourth coming soon.
