New medical facilities are being built throughout the region to meet the demand for care in one of the fastest-growing areas in the nation.
Duval Station in North Jacksonville will include a 12,000-square-foot medical facility as part of a 100,000-square-foot medical and retail center.
It is at North Main Street and Duval Station Road, less than a mile east of the UF Health North campus and the Department of Veterans Affairs outpatient clinic and domiciliary that is under construction.
“Our vision is to provide medical professionals and consumers with the most ideal site for high quality care and additional services in a convenient location,” David Ergisi, president and CEO of Jacksonville-based real estate company Cross Regions Group, said in a news release.
The project is expected to be completed in 30 to 36 months at a cost of $50 million.
Millennium Physician Group will lease the medical offices there. The facility will have its own lab.
The second phase of construction will build additional medical offices and spaces for professional tenants. Chappell Schools will operate a child care facility.
