Gas, grits, catfish, biscuits and sweet tea – all under the same roof and canopy.

Parker’s Kitchen, the Savannah, Georgia-based convenience store chain, is considering a site in North Jacksonville where Drayton-Parker Companies LLC recently bought almost 10 acres at Faye Road and Alta Drive.

It appears to be only identified Florida location.

The menu on the ParkersKitchen.com site shows breakfast, lunch and dinner that includes biscuits baked daily on-site, catfish, grits, sausage patties and gravy, fried chicken and chicken tenders, pork chops, fried livers and gizzards, pulled pork sandwiches, macaroni and cheese, fried okra, breakfast burritos, sweet tea, lemonade, “Signature Chewy Ice” and more.

Parker’s Kitchen says it operates 76 stores in Georgia and South Carolina.

Savannah-based Drayton-Parker paid $5.3 million for the property to develop a  retail and commercial project.

The property is off Interstate 295. The buyer did not disclose the plans.

Parker’s Kitchen has not responded to an email or a phone call.

The city issued a mobility fee calculation certificate June 15 for a 5,175-square-foot Parker’s Kitchen on 3.11 acres of the site.

It determined a fee of $397,241 to mitigate the development impact.

Jacksonville-based England-Thims & Miller Inc. is the civil engineer. The certificate was issued to Dames Point Signature LLC, which sold the land to Drayton-Parker on July 6 through DPC-FL LLC.

The application shows 24 vehicle fueling positions.

Online research shows that as of April 26, Parker’s Kitchen had 70 locations in 36 cities in Georgia and South Carolina.

The property is west of Alta drive and south of the Alta Plaza at Dunn’s Creek Crossing shopping center.

Savannah has the most with 12 locations.

Georgia has 42 locations and South Carolina has 28.

In June, Parker’s announced expansion into the Augusta, Georgia, market, where it will build a store to open in 2024, “with additional locations to be announced in the coming months.

The news release about the Augusta store said the new Parker’s Kitchen will offer grab-and-go options as well as a hot bar serving breakfast, lunch and dinner daily and electronic kiosk ordering.

Parker's Kitchen says it offers "a wide range of convenience items.”
