Bank OZK preparing to open in Southwest Jacksonville

The Little Rock, Arkansas, company bought two structures from 121 Financial for conversion to its brand; the other is in Mandarin.

A month after approval for a Mandarin office, the city issued a permit Jan. 10 for iConstructors LLC of Tampa to renovate a building for Bank OZK in Southwest Jacksonville.

Bank OZK is renovating space for a 3,502-square-foot office at 6072 Youngerman Circle at a project cost of $875,767. The location is at southwest Interstate 295 and Blanding Boulevard.

Bank OZK, based in Little Rock, Arkansas, bought that building Jan. 4, 2022, for $2 million from 121 Financial Credit Union. 

On Dec. 7, the city issued a permit for iConstructors to renovate a Mandarin office building for Bank OZK at a construction cost of $830,907.

Bank OZK bought that building at 12250 San Jose Blvd. from 121 Financial Credit Union for $2 million in a sale that closed Oct. 12, 2021.

The 2,668-square-foot office was built in 2001 on 1.47 acres.

Jacksonville-based 121 Financial relocated to 11112 San Jose Blvd, Unit 5.

“Bank OZK recognizes Jacksonville as an important growth market and we look forward to enhancing our presence so we can provide more clients with best-in-class solutions to their banking needs,” Bank OZK said in a statement in January 2022.

Bank OZK, formerly Bank of the Ozarks, now has Jacksonville locations at 10970 San Jose Blvd. and in Jacksonville Beach.

As of Sept. 30, Bank OZK had more than 240 offices in Arkansas, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, Texas, California, New York and Mississippi. 

It has more than 40 offices in 28 Florida cities.
