The city issued a permit Jan. 24 for West Shore Home to renovate office space at its warehouse and training center in Jacksonville International Tradeport in North Jacksonville.
Lay Duckworth Construction is the contractor for the $329,045 project for almost 5,500 square feet of space in the almost 35,000-square-foot building at 1333 Tradeport Drive for the home-remodeling company.
Lane Architecture is the architect.
West Shore Home, headquartered in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, says on westshorehome.com that it is “a leading technology-enabled home remodeling services provider with an expanding national footprint.”
The company specializes in window, door, and bath remodeling and replacement.
In addition to headquarters, it has 37 locations in 17 states, with four in Florida: Jacksonville, Ocala, Orlando and Tampa.
The company, founded in 2006, says it delivers “a fast, easy and convenient home remodeling experience.”
“From the first phone call to the final installation, customers have a streamlined experience and associate the West Shore Home brand with consistent high quality, transparency, and trust.”
The property owner is listed on the permit as an LLC with an address at Equity Industrial Partners of Needham, Massachusetts.
In 2021, Becknell Industrial recapitalized three Jacksonville properties in a $32.7 million deal involving three of its Jacksonville properties with new partners – Equity Industrial Partners and Raith Capital Partners.
One was 1333 Tradeport Drive, which Becknell bought in 1997.
West Shore Home announced July 12 it is operating in Jacksonville.
The company says most of its improvement projects are completed in a day.
“Its technology enabled platform allows West Shore Home to serve its customers quickly and efficiently, from the first phone call to the project design phase, and through the day of installation,” the company says.
It says Florida is the first state where it operated outside of Pennsylvania. The Tampa store opened in 2018.
