Insomnia Cookies heading to Five Points in Riverside

Riverside and Brooklyn residents appear to be next in line for Insomnia Cookies, which is opening in Five Points.

The company known for serving and delivering cookies until the early morning hours appears to be leasing a 1,174-square-foot space at 815 Lomax St., near Park Street.

The unit is between APB Sneakers and Odessa Slava Ukrainian Cafe. Sin City Smoke Shop is in Suite 819.

The city is reviewing a permit application for an estimated $245,524 tenant renovation for Insomnia Cookies at the site. ArcVision Inc. of St. Louis, Missouri, is the architect.

It would be the third Insomnia Cookies location in Jacksonville. The first is in Tinseltown Plaza at 4549 Southside Blvd. and the second opened July 18 Downtown at 47 W. Adams St. in the Elks Building at Adams and Laura streets.

The Philadelphia-based company said July 12 that the Downtown store was its 10th in Florida and its 244th nationwide.

Insomnia Cookies selections include its Classic Chocolate Chunk, Snickerdoodle and Confetti Deluxe cookies. It also offers cookies with ice cream and brookies, brownies and blondies. There are vegan options and a rotating limited-edition menu.

The Downtown store hours are noon to 1 a.m. Sunday; 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Monday-Wednesday; 11 a.m. to 3 a.m. Thursday; and noon to 3 a.m. Friday and Saturday.

Vision General Contractors of GA was the contractor for the $196,860 project to renovate the 1,154-square-foot Downtown space. ArcVision was the architect.

The Tinseltown store hours are 11 a.m.-1 a.m. Monday-Wednesday, 11 a.m.-3 a.m. Thursday-Friday, noon-3 a.m. Saturday and noon-1 a.m. Sunday.

Delivery hours start 15 minutes after opening and stop at closing time.
