Built in 1931, it has four bedrooms and five-and-a-half bathrooms.
The buyers were Mark and Karla Stuart of Atlantic Beach.
The sellers were Kurt and Nancy Pfotenhauer of Ponte Vedra Beach.
The Pfotenhauers paid $2.275 million for the property in 2015.
Mark Stuart is with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Network Realty. They operate The Mark and Karla Stuart Foundation, a charitable nonprofit that makes small donations, usually under $1,000, to animal, music and education groups and disaster relief, among others, according to the foundation’s website.
Kurt Pfotenhauer is the vice chairman at First American Title Insurance Co., according to his LinkedIn page. He was CEO of the American Land Title Association, senior vice president for policy and government affairs at the Mortgage Bankers Association and chief of staff for former U.S. Sen. Gordon Smith of Oregon.
Nancy Pfotenhauer is the president of MediaSpeak Strategies, a national communications firm. She was national spokesperson for the 2008 John McCain presidential campaign. She is the former president of the Independent Women’s Forum. She was the chief economist for the Republican National Committee and served on George H.W. Bush’s transition team in 1988.
She was the director of the Washington, D.C., office for Koch Industries.
