Walmart updating Regency Supercenter at $1.35 million

The Bentonville, Arkansas-based retailer has been upgrading its Northeast Florida stores.

The city issued a permit March 31 for FMGI Inc. to remodel the Walmart Supercenter in Arlington at a cost of almost $1.35 million.

It is a full-store remodel at 9890 Hutchinson Park Drive, north of Regency Square Mall.

Plans specify exterior and interior improvements to the 208,964-square-foot store.

Outside, the exterior will be cleaned and painted.

Inside, walls will be cleaned and painted and work is planned for the pharmacy, money center, vision center, restrooms, signage and pickup area for online orders.

FMGI is in Woodstock, Georgia. Cuhaci & Peterson LLC of Orlando is the architect.

The store was built in 2005.

Walmart Stores East LP owns the 20.12-acre property.
