Retail Notes: Permit issued toward Hobby Lobby in OakLeaf Town Center

The city issued a permit Sept. 21 for Snyder General Construction Inc. to build an 8,345-square-foot addition at OakLeaf Town Center to create a space large enough for the area’s fifth Hobby Lobby store.

The project cost is $800,000. The city has been reviewing permits totaling $1.6 million to combine three existing tenant spaces to create a 53,500-square-foot Hobby Lobby between SuperTarget and PetSmart.

Hobby Lobby will be built at 9515 Crosshill Blvd., No. 101.

The three tenant spaces were AC Moore, OfficeMax and Lifeway, whose previous store is being expanded by 8,345 square feet to complete a rectangular space for Hobby Lobby.

OakLeaf Town Center is in West Jacksonville at northwest Argyle Forest Boulevard and Old Middleburg Road.

Dollar General to St. Augustine

 St. Johns County issued a permit Sept. 15 for Gainesville-based Concept Construction of North Florida Inc. to build a 10,640-square-foot Dollar General store at 150 N. Volusia St. in St. Augustine at a cost of $850,000.
