Duval County hotel properties report continued strong performance in August for room revenue, average daily rate and revenue per room, according to data from STR released Sept. 20 by Visit Jacksonville.
Room revenue of $43.7 million was $6 million more than August 2021.
The average rate was $107.13, up about $10 over the same month last year. Revenue per room was $76.75, an increase of $11 over August 2021.
Occupancy was 71.6%, with more than 28,000 more rooms sold than last year.
Year-to-date, occupancy is 74.5%. The average room rate is $112.97 and revenue per room is $84.16.
Room revenue in 2022 totals more than $375 million, $60 million more than the same period last year.
All areas of Duval County had double-digit per-room revenue growth except for the Westside hotels.
Downtown hotels saw the largest growth at 37.1%.
Year-to-date, all areas posted double-digit growth in per-room revenue and five of six areas report double-digit average daily rate growth.
