By Matt Borello | JBA Young Lawyers Section board of governors
The Young Lawyers Section of the Jacksonville Bar Association is hosting our annual poker event Sept. 22 at bestbet Jacksonville, in person for the first time in three years.
Doors open at 6 p.m., poker lessons begin at 6:30 p.m. and the tournament starts around 6:45 p.m.
Proceeds will benefit the MaliVai Washington Youth Foundation. Its mission is to provide underprivileged youth with the resources they need to rise to their full potential and become contributing members of society. More information about the charity can be found at malwashington.com.
While hosting a virtual poker event during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic was a way to keep our annual tradition going and continue to support local charities, we are excited to return to the felt and hear the shuffling of chips.
We will provide food, beverages and an opportunity to reconnect with friends, colleagues and local celebrities while duking it out for prizes.
We are working harder than ever to solicit sponsors for the event so we can provide the greatest benefit that we can to our charity.
Without our sponsors, this event would not be possible.
We have sponsorship tiers ranging from $50 spectators up to our $3,500 Royal Flush Title Sponsorship.
Email [email protected] for sponsorship-related inquiries.
We’re not bluffing when we say you’re not going to want to miss this event.
We look forward to seeing you and we thank you for continuing to support local charities like the MaliVai Washington Youth Foundation.
