A Lake Mary golf management company paid $5.4 million to buy Marsh Landing Country Club in St. Johns County.
M.L. Partnership LLP sold the golf course and club at 25655 Marsh Landing Parkway on Sept. 26 to Concert Golf Partners through Concert Marsh Landing LLC. The deed was recorded Oct. 10.
As the seller, E. Chester Stokes Jr. signed the deed as manager of Landing Venture II LLC, general partner of M.L. Partnership.
Concert Golf Partners buys and operates private golf facilities. On its website it promises to manage the club operations, make capital improvements, increase membership and never pass along costs through increased assessment fees.
The website says the group has more than 20 private golf facilities in its portfolio and $250 million to invest in its properties.
Marsh Landing Country Club was opened in 1986 and offers members golf, tennis, fitness, swimming and social memberships. Its facilities are available to be rented for charitable events and weddings.
The course was designed by Ed Seay of Arnold Palmer Course Design. He is a past president of the American Society of Golf Course Architects.
The Course measures 6,863 yards from the championship tees and has seven tee options. It regularly receives high rankings from golf publications when rating Northeast Florida golf courses, according to its website.
It has been the site of US Amateur and US Open qualifying events, the 2003 Florida State Amateur Championship and the 1999 and 2001 Oakley Invitational.
