Cool – freezing, actually – is the appropriate description of the FlexCold warehouse in North Jacksonville where temperatures range from 38 degrees to 20 below in the cooler and freezer rooms where pallets of domestic and imported seafood, meats, poultry, pizza, juice drums and more are stored. FlexCold can even blast-freeze foods.
As a public refrigerated warehouse, it handles just about any food that requires refrigeration.
Products are stored on their way to customers, including importers, exporters, traders, distributors and retailers of all size. The mobile racking system means the aisles are guided on rails for the best configuration and space use, which is like watching an accordion.
The multiple storage rooms are convertible as well. The 25,000 pallet positions stacked floor to ceiling in the building aren’t enough. FlexCold already has plans to double its size in Jacksonville.
