St. Johns County received a pre-application for demolition of a bank building and construction of a 3,000-square-foot Whataburger fast-food restaurant and drive-thru on 1.16 acres at 105 CBL Drive in Cobblestone Village.
The site is an outparcel in a Publix Super Markets Inc.-anchored shopping center at 305 Florida 312.
Also, St. Johns County issued a building permit April 13 for construction of a 3,196-square-foot Whataburger and drive-thru at a cost of almost $2.11 million at 179 Village Commons Drive at Florida 16 and International Golf Parkway in St. Augustine.
The St. Johns River Water Management District is reviewing an application modification for Hwy 55 Burgers, Shakes & Fries at Commonwealth Avenue and Danmac Lane in West Jacksonville.
The city issued a concurrency reservation certificate for the 2,501-square-foot restaurant and drive-thru on 1.12 acres.
Hwy 55 Burgers, Shakes & Fries, a 31-year-old North Carolina chain, applied for a permit to build its first Jacksonville area restaurant at 6707 Commonwealth Ave. at an estimated $700,000.
The site is east of Interstate 295 in west Duval County.
