Continuing a tradition that began in 2008, the Young Lawyers Section of the Jacksonville Bar Association presents Noon in June from noon to 5 p.m. June 2 at the association’s offices Downtown at Wells Fargo Center.

The annual program allows summer associates at law firms and attorneys new to the practice to become familiar with the local legal community.

Topics on the agenda include a presentation about technology in the court system, sports law, how to become better known in the legal community, the traits law firms look for when hiring associates, and professionalism.

Presenters include Circuit Judges London Kite, Virginia Norton and Anthony Salem; Duval County Judge Michael Bateh; PGA Tour Senior Counsel Amanda Thomas; sports law practitioners Austin Dragoo from Rogers Towers and Mali Jackson from Smith Hulsey & Busey; and Eddie Farah, founding partner of Farah & Farah.

After the presentations, the meeting will adjourn to The Lark at 229 N. Hogan St. for happy hour and installation of YLS officers for the 2022-23 Bar year.
