St. Johns Town Center announced May 5 that off-price retailer Marshalls will open in May, with more stores to come this year.
Marshalls is at 10261 River Marsh Drive where Staples closed near Target. Marshalls has six area stores in North and West Jacksonville, Mandarin, Jacksonville Beach, Orange Park and St. Augustine.

Also coming to St. Johns Town Center:
• Blo Blow Dry Bar: Customers, called Hair Cadets, can choose from seven styles in the Blo Hair Menu. The store is in the mall’s “self-care” zone that includes Polish Nail Bar and Degree Wellness Spa. Opening midyear.
• Altar’d State, Arula and Vow’d: Altar’d State, a women’s clothing store, is moving across the street to the former Abercrombie & Fitch and Abercrombie Kids space at 4712 River City Drive, No. 131. Vow’d and Arula, concepts owned by the same company, also will open there. Arula sells women’s clothing sizes 10-24, shoes and accessories. Vow’d sells wedding and bridesmaid dresses. Opening in late 2022.
• Offline by Aerie: The lifestyle brand offers womens intimates, apparel, activewear and swim collections. It was launched by parent American Eagle Outfitters Inc. in 2020. Opening in late 2022 near Banana Republic.

St. Johns Town Center said five new retailers have opened recently:
• Free People Movement at 4818 St. Johns Town Center, Suite 107, near Vans. The boutique, which targets women in their 20s, sells performance-ready activewear. It is part of URBN, the company that owns Urban Outfitters and Anthropology.
• Fresh-Mex & Co. Tex-Mex Cantina at 10281 Midtown Parkway. The second location for the Jacksonville restaurant offers fajitas, quesadillas, burritos, tacos, salads and bowls.
• NIU Scooters at 10281 Midtown Parkway, Suite 121. The Chinese company offers electric scooters powered by lithium batteries. It also sells electric bikes and mopeds. It shows five flagship stores on its website in Los Angeles, New York, Fort Lauderdale and Jacksonville. A Miami store is coming soon.
• Sola Salon Studios at 10261 River Marsh Drive. Established in 2004, the chain says it has more than 600 locations in the U.S., Canada and Brazil.
