Texas Roadhouse says it hopes to open its River City Marketplace restaurant in North Jacksonville in late summer. It is under construction.
It also says it is interested in St. Johns County but has no official plans yet.
The county is reviewing a pre-application for Texas Roadhouse to build at the St. Augustine Outlets redevelopment. It already operates in the Town Center area and Orange Park.
The city issued a permit March 1 for Seth Heitzman Construction Inc. of Lake City to build an 800-square-foot Ellianos Coffee drive-thru at 8781 Old Kings Road S. in the Brierwood area at a cost of $263,840.
The St. Johns River Water Management District is evaluating a 2,431-square-foot, 60-seat Chipotle on 1.31 acres at northwest Blanding Boulevard and Ridgecrest Avenue in Ridgecrest Plaza. Florida Retail Group LLC of Neptune Beach is the developer. Abbey Civil Engineers Inc. of Neptune Beach is the civil engineer.
