The Marks Gray law firm is expanding its intellectual property practice with the addition of a registered patent attorney and two registered patent agents formerly with Mitchell Ghaneie Law.
“Jacksonville’s rapid growth and numerous rankings as a top market for startups and business expansions has created a strong need for full-service intellectual property services for startups, small business and large entities,” said Fred Kent III, Marks Gray president and shareholder, in a news release.
Registered patent attorney Mitchell Ghaneie focuses his practice on patent and trademark applications as well as representing clients in disputes involving IP matters.
Claire Patton has been a registered patent agent since 2006. She has experience in preparing and filing domestic and international patent applications.
Christopher Roberts is a structural engineer and registered patent agent. He specializes in helping clients prepare patent applications to protect their inventions.
The addition will provide a full-service IP practice that includes all legal services to help clients with the patent, copyright and trademark process and perform services such as freedom-to-operate analyses and patent landscape studies, according to the release.
Marks Gray has 28 attorneys and 60 staff members in its Jacksonville office.
