The Jacksonville Women’s Business Center was honored as the 2022 North Florida District Women’s Business Center of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration.

The center, at 3 Independent Drive, is part of the Jacksonville Chamber Foundation and is among the 141 Women’s Business Centers operating in every state.

Its purpose is to enable women in business to make decisions and develop the infrastructure to facilitate growth.

It does so through entrepreneurial developments, education, resources and networking.

The JWBC provides education on funding methods from self-funding to venture capital, crowdfunding, SBA loans and grants.

It offers Entrepreneur Certificate Programs that help build a portfolio of business intellectual assets. The programs include Venture Leadership, Customer Development, Financial Matters, Marketing Matters and Legal Matters.

JWBC provides mentoring opportunities and connects participants in networks to expand their base and confidence.
