The city issued a building permit June 1 for Aston at Town Center, a 278-unit apartment community east of St. Johns Town Center in Jacksonville.
The construction cost of the apartments, at 10655 Brightman Blvd., is $44.45 million.
The property is south of Top Golf, iFly and Floor & Decor.
The five-story building will comprise 147 one-, 105 two- and 26 three-bedroom apartments on 4.59 acres. It will have a parking garage.
Eastwind Development LLC of Palm Beach Gardens is the developer. The FaverGray Co. is the contractor. Forum Architecture and Interior Design of Altamonte Springs is the architect.
Eastwind Development paid $3.65 million for the property Dec. 15. It bought the land from the Skinner family through Aston Town Center LLC.
